A new brand strategy built on Tides Advocacy’s commitment to the leading edge, brought to life through energizing web copy.
After leading the brand overhaul at Tides, Rachel helped their 501(c)(4) affiliate go through a similar process of research, reflection, and reexamination.
This led to a renaming and revitalization of the Tides Advocacy brand, rooted in a commitment to find and fuel leading edge advocacy strategies and communities at the front line.

Brand Strategy
We interviewed staff and external stakeholders to identify the core essence and key differentiators for Tides Advocacy. We identified their willingness to be on the leading edge of advocacy and work arm in arm with their partners as co-conspirators as the primary drivers of their brand strategy.
Website Strategy and Content
Working in partnership with design studio Good Stuff Partners, we built the structure and content architecture for Tides Advocacy’s new website. We then wrote and implemented all the copy and headers for the new site.
Storytelling
Tides Advocacy partners in many complex ways. The best way to bring their work to life is through storytelling that shows how they help their partners achieve advocacy wins. We interviewed clients and staff and wrote four stories to spotlight on their site.
Communications Strategy and Implementation
Tides Advocacy didn’t have any communications staff. We provided key support for email, blogs, and social media and worked directly with the Tides Advocacy board of directors to map out key strategic priorities.
Collateral Development
Working with design studio Good Stuff Partners, we provided content and strategic support for the development of a suite of brochures and one-pagers.
Video
At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Tides Advocacy sought ways to stay connected with their community, staff and board. We produced videos to tell the story of the organization’s impact and to compellingly communicate the vision of their new CEO.
